Siemens S40 unlock

Hi, all.

I'm very excited. Last week, I got my very first cell phone: a Siemens S40.

I was told the phone is locked so I started looking around as to how to get it unlocked.

From what I've read so far, I have to obtain a log file from my cell, then get a map file based on the log. The last step would be to put the map file into the cell to have it unlocked. Is this correct? Do I have to connect the cell to the computer or can I do it manually on the phone?

Could someone point me in the right direction (ie. website, etc) so I can get more info?

Yup, You're right. If you wanna upload the map file to your phone, you must to connecting your phone by datacable to computer.
