Hi all,

I have a question of overclocking a mobile phone. As you all know, every phone features a quarz clock generator which provides an eternal clock signal to the MCU - just as in computers.

So is it possible to increase the speed of the MCU by replacing the 32,xxx khz quarz with say, 48,xxx khz?

What do you think about this?

Erm, why?

Secondly, you will certainly screw up the real-time clock and god knows what else by changing the 32.768kHz Xtal - probably just about everything will fail - including the transmit and receive frequencies .... so not a good idea :)

None, it probably wouldn't help us at all, but it's an interesting point.

:)
