I have no idea how to unlock my nokia 8390! I have tried everything, but nothing that works! the original network was at&t and now I wanna use it with tim (telecom italia mobile).

What phone are you trying to unlock? Are you sure it's a multiband phone?

Since it was on At&t, that would be American, so American frequencies.

You are trying to use it on a European system? So that would run on a different frequency.

Do fill us in with more information, especially phone make and what you've tried.

thanks for your answer. my phone is a nokia 8390. i bought it in US from At&t. now i wanna use it in italy, but it's locked.

my Imei is: 0100 9330 2358 349

my net is : 222-01 (tim) or vodafone omitel, but i don't have the code

i have tried to take the sim out and to digit several lomg codes that all started with #pw+....something. but it still doesn't work. i read all the posted messages of the people that have my same problem, but i dodon't find an answer for mine jet.

u cannout use a 1900 mhz mobile on a 900 mhz network...
even if u unlock it you'll never be able to use it in europe.

that is not true because i bought that cell phone with a friend of mine in US. now she's back in croatia and she is able to use it with the european frequency....there must be a way!

Edit out your IMEI above, it isn't of use to us.

As for your friend...could you double check that? The phone you are talking about simply doesn't have the hardware to do what you are saying...I promise you that :)

Go phone you friend up and ask her what she did :D
