well,f irst of all, hey to all of u out there on a nice vB board.

to the point:

i lost a contracted phone, got a replacement, now i have found my original lost phone, and gave it to a mate.

it was blocked/barred on O2, through the carphone warehouse, but a mate was using it on friday and saturday on Orange without any problems. but, she turned it off this morning, turned it back on, only to get "SIM Registration Error/Failure".

we have tried 3 codes already. the first 2 were in error as i chose Orange as the network provider (when i had blocked it through 02), and the last one was for O2, but we still get '"Code Error".

IMEI: 351463100482756
Service Provider: UK 02 , code is (i think) 23410

any help would be greatly appreciated:

codes previously used are:
#pw+195504617327407+7# (under O2 as service provider)

(under Orange as provider, code 23433)
#pw+818321434625326+1#
#pw+329106545773305+7#

barring on network has nothing to do with simlock

DON'T ENTER ANY CODES!!!!!

YOU WILL ALWAYS GET CODE ERROR AS YOUR PHONE IS NOT SIMLOCKED

your phone is barred in mobile switching centers on all uk networks

contact your provider to delete your imei from the barring list

thanx veyr much for ur help.

i think i know someone who can unbarr it if it isnt just a basic SIM problem... as i really cant go bakc to my provider, since they ould take my new phone awya,a nd i wont get the old one back.

ah well. just cancel my contract, get a new one, and keep hold of this replacement one. job done!

and btw, u really do need a 'quick reply' on here, like at some other vB boards
