theres no point as this is the nokia converter that converts audio files to .amr, although amr is a small file it is also BAD QUALITY

i have found no way on compressing any mp3, small enough to work on a 7650, maybe on 3650

the smallest i have got is 4mb to 2mb and that is it!
and with the instructions "freegives" has given me it doesnt do what he says and thats compress an mp3 to wav to a small file

when i think is impossible as wav files are larger than mp3!!

i converted an mp3 to wav, it came out at 20+mb!

every 4mb is 800kb? yeah as AMR

always use wav files as ringtones and alarm simply because Polyphonic ringtones are (mostly) terrible and they aren’t loud enough even if you use MidiEd.
But the advantage of an MIDI is that it is a lot smaller than a regular WAV and if you own a 7650 you’d know that every byte is precious and that’s why i found a way to make WAVs smaller.

Simply play a Music CD in your CD-Rom player and goto the standard windows recorder found in the “Startmenu-Accesoires-Entertainment”.

Now when you’re done recording, select “save as” and then select the map where you want to save it to, type in the file’s name, but don’t save it instead click on Change (i’ve got the Dutch version of win so the name could be different but there are three buttons, click the one at the bottom of the window).

In here you can select the Quality of the files, click on the Classification(maybey diff.) scroll bar and select GSM instead of PCM and then go to the other scrollbar underneath and select the quality you’d like.
Then select save as type in a name and click OK the again click OK.

Now you can save you Wav and send them to your phone.
With this simple trick you can make you’re WAVs alot smaller, but the smaller you make em’ the lesser quality you get.

If you find any wrongdoings in this post please notify me.

(You can also make WAVs louder, click EFFECTS and select Increase Volume 25%, but yoy probebly knew that already...)

Also a good solution.

You can also do this with MP3s
