Hiya everyone,

Ive heard from posts that contact service error isnt always software and CAN be a hardware issue

One solution to this is heating the COBBA CHIP IC

Ok so how does one do this?
Where is it?
etc etc...

Thanks
Mike

the cobba chip is the chip that has MAL on it .
to reflow it you will need a smd rework heat gun and some good smd flux. basically you will need to put some flux around the ic then heat up the component. done :)

hmm....COBBA has this words on it... " V257H - 4370643 - P991X105 - MAL " :D

and COBBA is an audio ic....and sometimes failing to search network...must also change, but once changed...your PCB imei number will be either 00000000000 or 6565656565.....then u must use Rolis Nokia tool 1.7 / 1.8 to change to its DEFAULT imei. then it will work.:) :) :) :) :)

Bro...if u use a hair dryer...it will take decades for the chip to be heated...and of cos your hair dryer will explode...i have tried using that 4 yrs ago...and in the end , my MOMMY's Hair dryer MELTED.... :P

hey bro...besides " MAL " ...and recently i have seen " CHN "

becos MAL stands for MALAYSIA....and CHN stands for CHINA...
i think the recent batch of COBBA(s) are made from CHINA....but i prefer the previous batch which were from MALAYSIA.
