simcard failure on my nokia 8310

i have a nokia 8310
imei no: 350883105231802

now,
when i put a uk orange chip in the phone i get a sim card registration failure msg

and when i put a one 2 one or vodafone chip in i get the msg saying sim card not registured or smthing like that anyway?? ;/

but this msg gives me the option to undo.........?

A: if an orange sim does not work in an orange phone then the phone is either broken/reported lost or stolen

A: not unlocked but re programmed which is illegal if u r in the uk

A: try the codes above if they work u r fine
if they dont then look at the second answer

i just tryed the first 1 but im still getting the same msg for my orange chip.

if the phone was originally on orange
then enter the codes with or without the simcard in from any network doesnt matter

if the codes dont work and no simcard at all works from any network including orange which it was originally from the the phone is barred
reported lost or stolen

you will either have to find someone willing to break the law in the uk by re coding the imei number
or sell it abroad as it will work there
if u advertise it on ebay in an honest way someone will buy it

advertise like this

nokia 8310 blocked on uk networks as reported lost
but will work on networks outside the uk
put it at the right price and im sure u will sell it
