sms special characters problem

hi all, i'm using a nokia 3650 and when someone text me with special characters for example òûùÿ it's not showing, it would replace it with a space, and when i send text with a special character it would only show the regular letter on the phone i sent it to, please help :(

I have the same problem when I tried to write messages. I turned all the language settings to english. And now there isnt a problem. I have the version 2.50. I fixed the problem like this. have a nice day.

i don't have a problem writing it but once i send/receive to/from others that's where the special characters don't show, and they're phone is capable of using special characters, i just changed my phone language from automatic to english and the writing language is already in english.

how do you find the version?

i would also like to add how i can receive my text messages straight to my sim card memory? the only way i know how is thru phone or mmc.
