hi,

i have just purchased an unlocked V60, which is fine.

however, i'd like to use the master reset option to ensure everything is set to default.

but, it asks for a security code (4 digits)

i know it's not the unlock code, as i knew what that was, and changed it.

how can i reset the phone to factory default, or is there a default security code i can try?

i've heard of test cards, but don't know if that is what i require.

thanks in advance,
kez

no one at all ?!?!

i must be the only person with a V60, then!

oh, and it's a six (6) digit code it's after

Your best bet is to use Victors Service Software with a COM cable. :

Victors Site (http://www.victorgsm.net)

Not sure if by 'test sim' you mean the 'test cards' for Motorola that were used for the older model stuff or something different.

Have you tried this 'test sim' on New v60/66's etc??

afaik the motorola test card does NOT work in these phones i.e v60, v66, v70 (Patriot) etc

You can get the user/security/phone codes using the comport cable but not the unblock code :( using the software available free on victorgsm.net

i have datacables for these phones available, COM port version.

email me or pm me for more info
