Thanh why dont you have your files hosted on another server and just redirect the link of downloads to there, that should free up some bandwidth, good site by the way.

I was thinking of that, but there are several reasons NOT to do it:
The URL.... very important, if you have to type it each time you want to download a file via WAP. Tripod gives nice short URL's, not many free providers do so.
File types. Most providers do not allow hosting of files other than html, jpg and gif, basically, websites and images. For example, fortunecity won't let me upload jar, jad, mid.
Hotlinking. Most providers do not allow files, which are stored on there servers, to be accessed from outside their websites. Particular Fortunecity, they don't even show images! That was the reason why i also moved my "normal" website from Fortunecity to tripod. This part is important, as you access the file ITSELF via WAP.... i tried to access a file (image) stored in my fortunecity account via WAP, what i got was a bloody fortunecity logo!
Bandwidth. Although my main problem is bandwidth, Tripod already gives quite much for a free account... here 1 gig. Most providers give below, even 500 MB! Won't help me.........
Popups. Tripod is quite OK, they don't have tooooo many of them. I count two popups on Tripod UPON LEAVING the site (!) as opposed to Fortunecity, which gave me four popups on entering the site PLUS another two upon leaving (one was from v3, my URL redirect). All this PLUS banners! Tripod is here very nice, small banner on top of the page, that's it. (I use Netscape, it even blocks the popups! So i have only those banners).
Service. Crucial for a free account, too... Tripod responds to e-mail within two days, i like that. Fortunecity..... dead end, as a "free" user you can't even send them any mail!
So i'll stay with them.... i can open another account (they allow five per user, yes, they do! Family member stuff....... ) to "split" bandwidth between them, so i might put ringtones and games on seperate accounts to save some :)

what you could do, is edit the .Jad file so they download the small jad file off your sites wap then the .jar is stored somewhere else that supports .jar files like www.portland.co.uk Just upload a .htacess file.

It all gets a bit fiddly but it would stop the frustration of not being allowed on to your site due to bandwidth
