Hi ll627;

I read the following features of 6600 in the Asia-Pacific Nokia website:

Integrated Video Recorder and Camera:

-- VGA Camera with 3 modes (Standard/Portrait/Night)
-- Video Recorder
-- 2X Digital Zoom (for both Camera & Video)
-- Bright 65,536 TFT color screen
-- DOUBLET LENS
-- Series 60 graphical user interface optimized for imaging

Please enlighten me about the "doublet lens." Is this a different camera lens from the one installed in 7650 and 3650?

Thank you for your usual prompt replies.

No it's not a spelling mistake.
There's two (2) lenses in the 6600, meaning that the pictures are of better quality.

Wouwz;

The quality of a camera's lens has more influence on the outcome of the picture quality, and not much dependent on the resolution. A camera with a lower resolution but with a high quality, multiple aspherical glass lens will produce a much better picture as compared to a camera with higher resolution but with cheap plastic lens.

As stated by ll627, the 6600 should have a better picture quality because of the new multiple lens. Maybe thats the reason why 6600 has a digital zoom already because the picture quality is so good that even if you zoom it, the picture will remain sharp.

get a digital cam if you are so bent on getting good resolution...geeez.

i don't think this is a good enough reason to get the 6600 especially if the price is high.

you should want it because it's the newest phone model...hehehe
