Blocked 8310 Swap ?

Hi i believe i have a 8310 which is blocked, when i put a vodaphone sim card in i get a signal but cant make any calls but can send text messages and recieve them.I have tried other sim cards and get SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED!I have also tried unlock codes but get CODE ERROR.If the phone is blocked i would
like to swap it with somebody, iam in the uk.
