What do you think of the Nokia 5510?

Hi everyone.

I just got a 5510 a few days ago, it was on an auction site and I think I got it pretty cheap.

Anyways, I was curious about this phone. I know it's been discontinued but I'd still like to hear your opinions about it!

My sister got one last year and after installing MP3's, the phone just got fucked up. Tried to have it repaired but lost its recording capabilites. Its bad coz it doesnt have an external memory to use for its MP3's unlike the Nokia 3300.

Well prices are low-ish at the moment because our currency has had a massive devaluation last year.

The cheapest phones like the Nokia 2100 can be bought for around £65 SIM-Free or with a pre-paid SIM but unlocked.

A Nokia 3520 (TDMA version of the 3510i) costs £90, also pre-paid and unlocked. I'm not sure about the 3530 (GSM) but it should cost about the same (they're identical apart from network compatibility).

As for contract phones, you can get them for nealy nothing, or sometimes you pay a discounted price and get a second one free in the 'Family' plans.
