4 the 3330 it is hard 2 calc faid with software 4.12 or 4.16 upwards i think.

downgrade to 4.12/16 to calc faid well

or

try rolis nok tool 1.8 calc faid with reset or try calc faid with a logger

@welshwizard

ehm you mean that its hard to calc the faid on 3330 s??
cause I got one and will do some flashing on it...

also upgrade to 3330 v4.50 , I think thas the latest one...
but after that I need to calc the faid right !?

and will that be hard??
or just easy with NokTool 1.8 ??

calculate faid (i think) with 3330 versions 4.12 or 4.16 and higher is hard when u modify the PPM (change menu 2 ????, add ringtones, change menu pictures)

if you just want to upgrade to 4.50 faid in eeprom tools should be fine.

i dont have a 3330 myself. but have heard this.

Hi, Mr. Icedude,

>> anyone else know more about this??

If intending modifications in a flash file don't use:
3310-503, 3310-513, 3330-430 or 3330-450.

Because ppm manager calculates an incorrect flash checksum on those.
This flash checksum is required as input for calcing faid number afterwards.
So if the Flash check is incorrect, the Faid number will be calced incorrect too.

@ nokia_lite

you can use mygnokii or the RTTL to Re converter.

@Nokdoc

but just updating, all versions fine right !? :)

Yep correct,

Upgrading isn't the problem, ppm manager's calc is.

But noone can do any better so it still is a magnificent tool.

where can we find *.re files or the rttl to re converter?

welshwizard

Here is the rttl 2 re converter.....

use *.txt files which are saved from NokRing.

in nokring, if u have h's 4 b's from the logomanager format, change them, rttl2re wont accept the h's

When you change your tones and you got no signal, try to log with Logger 1.6 and calculate with B-Phreak then update. I try with my 3310 v5.03 then upgrade to v5.57 with tones 5210. I have success 1000% working

If you have no signal after changing the tones and flashing, select the 'Quick set FAID' option in kNok Phoenix. I've done it a million times and it always works.
