Get error when convert EYE to AVI.... whats the problem??? any have the same problem??i m using WIN XP,eyecon gui

error show

An error occured while converting file:

possible reasons:

invalid EYE file
incorrect path
EYE file is corrupted



just get the error at this morning... last time is working very well...

any 1 know about it??? HELP ME please...

same shit has been happening to me except it has never been working for me i need help with it and i dont know what to do... icant conbert any files at all and i have videos to convert!! :confused:

I get the same error exactly, i have contacted the company but they dont reply, but for me it has never worked, i dont know why.

i just read the read me file and its not created to work on windows XP, mind u it does the same on my other 98

last time work very well.. since i FORMAT my computer( Xp)... now cannot work some more...i try to use at WIN2000... but totally can't RUn the EYECON GUI converter...whats the problem???

Best store your .eye and .ear files in "C:\EyeCon", too. Remember that EyeCon is a DOS based tool and DONīT accept foldernames over eight characters and with special characters ! Also keep the filenams short (max eight characters) !

Leon, you da man! After getting the same errors over and over again I made a new folder c:\eyecon and put my .eye and .ear files there and success!!!

When you tell the program where the .eye is make sure that the .ear is in the same folder and it will just detect it automatically. I have converted several now of both video and audio without any problems.

so far what I have seen is that there are several more options on the camcorder part. This like setting MMS Size to anything you want, show output size, full-time backlight. Also they have redone "my videos" and made it much more user friendly. Take a look.

You know what, I have been playing with the new version and now when I am converting .eye to .avi it is inverting the movie upside down. From another thread I read that this is a codec problem and that they should be releasing a new converter along with the new eti version. Keep us posted if anyone finds it.

I still have a problem with this piece of shit converter thing :(. You know what im just going to wait till they come out with a newer and better version of the converter. Thanks for the help people. ;)
