I don't know if I'm wrong maybe you can correct me.

Cingular USA for the East coast (ie. NY/NJ) should be 31015
I've been reading a lot of posts generalizing Cingular as 31017 and I thought that was only for (pacific .. west coast Cingular).

.. just thought it might help some poor guy from NJ further down the line :p .. or you can correct me if I'm wrong

Thanks,

configuration key, which is used for calculation of codes has nothing to do with network code, it can be the same, but not in all cases.

all us providers use multilock feature, they lock e.g. with 31017 config key and sim card with 31017 and 31015 and 31041 will work!

Oh, ok so 31017 is standard for all Us providers (in most cases) and the 31015 is just a network code for the Eastern Us part of Cingular.

thanks for the info.

Ok I got it. Its confusing though.. that in most of the dct4 unlock programs out there they list both pacific bell cingular 31017 and bellsouth cingular 31015.
