Coolest mod of 8210

Hi m8tes!

Have been flashing a while, killed one 3310 (if you know what to do when it won't accept any flash - have tried EVERYTHING - the charger "trick" and knok, rollis etc...)

But my question is:
What is the coolest mod of an 8210?
And where can I see if it is rom 5 or 6?
Netmonitor?
Or only by reading my version number (*#0000#)?

Have changed led's to white, animated network bar, fading lights and modded ppm. But I want more... ;)

At least some of you have to know anything better than this... :D

To see if its rom5 or 6 read it with a datacable and noktool1.8 or any version of nokia tools. (noktool1.8 the best)

If rom 6 you'll have fun converting it to 8250 :)

You may have killed your 3310 with a dodgy cable that surged the power to your phone. theres voltage stabalisers you can get to prevent this. search my posts i'm sure i've posted about them before.

I made a 8210mod, but I had to kill some languages because of the MCU Space.

There is ENG, GER and FR language. You can add other languages with programs like FLSedit from other 5.31 versions of 8210

I have no time to write all features but here are some:

Hiya,

I'm about to be given a 8210, I have never flashed an 8210 before. What's bad about having Rom 5, or good about Rom 6?

I looked at the closest hardware upgrade thread, but it seemed to be full of send to messages :P. Does it affect what modified flash I upload? Or is it for upgrading to the 8250?

Could someone briefly reply please? :)

Opps, I found a better search parameter:

if you have rom6 then you can proceed to upgrade your 8210 to 8250 but if u have a rom5 forget about it.

you cannot upgrade rom5 8210 to 8250, but 8890. just full flash with 8890 flash file.
I think that's all correct, I'll just have to wait till the thing arrives and read it in :)

some friends asked me to do if posible. can you tell me how you did?

only the font, i was so free to set it back tot original nokia
and replaced french with dutch language
so 3 langueages now
- dutch
- english
- german

so for the dutch people who want this dutch version , let me know.
