looking for flash files and dont know which version to use

:confused: Hi : i desperetly need help. i am new to this and i have read all the newbie stuff but still very confused about flashing.
i have all the software and all the cables,just need advise.

1)First of all where can i find flash file full and partial for all nokia phones.
2)say now i have a nokia 3310 v 4.19 ,To upgrade this do i download a higher software version or what this is what confuses me,say now i want to upgrade it to a 3350 do i download a 3350 flash that is the same version or what some one please explain this to me:
3)The main thing is just the upgrading of the phone that i need to know.?
What flash versions can i use with what gsm software versions,and do i need to start the flash at a certain number.
I have rolis V 4.77 and 4.79 and knok95 and nok tool 18,19

and does anyone know the number or web adress of a wholesaler in singapore cause my friend went over there and bought phone for cheap EG: nokia 3310 For R35/$4

Ok, don't get ahead of yourself! The 3310 can only be upgraded to the 3315! The Forum FAQ has all my tutorials on how to do this! As for your firmware version, you need v5.45 or above to enable the 3315 settings! There is a 3315 v5.57 file in the download section, but as a newbie, you should be using fubu's! A fubu is short for full backup! You can get them here:

Also, DO NOT use partial flash files! These are no longer needed in this day and age! Please make good use of my tutorials!;)

:confused: The thing i still would like to know is if i just want to upgrade the sw version eg on a 3310 v4.19
Do i download a full flash 3310 v 4.19 or can i upload a higher version like 3310 v 5.27 or something like that.

If you have a 3310 Version X.xx

You can upload any 3310 Flash (Actually, you can upload other stuff, but let's not get complicated just yet).

So you want to upload say, a 3310 flash such as 5.57, you can simply upload, set FAID etc as in the tuorial.

If you want to go from 4.00 (Doesn't exist probably) --> 5.57, you can flash 5.57, no need to flash 4.09 (May not exist), just flash in one go.

Whatever happens, you simply take a FULL FLASH BACKUP FIRST!

A backup will nearly always save you, whatever happens. :)

But from what i have learned wont that possably kill the board.because i was experimenting with a 6110 and i uploaded a higher version and the phone display read. Wrong SW Version
and then it died and i cant reflash it or anything. the phone is completly dead. That is why i am asking all the questions cause the tutorials dont teach you that

No, you can't kill the phone! There's rumors of some of the 5210's going berzerk, but that's not confirmed! With regards to the 6110, you have upload the wrong Rom version! This will shut the phone! To repair it, when it asks to power on in Rolis, insert the charger!;)

Just that the phone still does not accept the new dsp rom 3 software i uploaded which it is still asking for.
When i upload the new dsp rom 3 software it does not recognise it as rom 3 and asks to put on rom 3 sw.Anyway the phone works now with the origanal sw
