try *3001#12345# and look for it in there
after your done you have to turn the phone off to get out of the programing menu

I don't think that code will work, that is only for TDMA (?) phones and not GSM

If 12345 does not work, you will need a cable for it, and then you can use a program on your pc to read current security code or reset it

5100 series are not gsm...only cdma/tdma amps
what is the model of the phone? tell me that and i can tell u how to unlock it

The model is 5100... and he does not want to unlock it, just find out the security code as he does not remember it...

just remember if u do that after 5 wrong trys it can only be unlocked by cable so be carefull

sorry, ajbones... there is no limit (well I have never gone into the hundreds) with trys for entering security code. the phone does record the number of tries (I think)

from what i understand from cingular and such as with my 6340i it does have to be unlocked with a cable after 5 trys..look it up. trust me
