8310 PUK code

Hi

I am trying to find out how to un-lock the Nokia 8310 when it is asking for the PUK code. I am fully aware that this can be obtained from my network.

However, at any local market or shopping mall there are people who will charge £10 to un-lock the phone. They simply key in a code and the phone works again !!!

Does anybody know what they type in ??

no.. they probably unlock ur phone as in an sp-lock, the puk request is a sim thing not phone thing, its easier and cheaper (free!) to get from ur network, jus fone

PUK is sim dependent, thus it can ONLY be recovered from your provider.

I have never seen any software or tricks that enable you to generate your own PUK code.

As the previous post said, Unlocking is different to PUK.
If you are not the owner of the sim card, just buy a new sim card.
Registration gives you the right to as many PUK codes as you want.
