View Full Version : IMEI Blacklisting...

I've found a 3650 mobile phone in a bus the other day; the sim got blocked within 3 days (Sim registration failed) but the phone is still working with other sim cards; what are the chances of it being blacklisted ? And if it does what can I do ? Can I still use it in France or Spain ?

I would have thought it will be blacklisted in time as the owner has blocked the sim card....... (may take a couple of weeks) You can still use it abroad though......

Geez, really that long.... What if I want to use it in the UK again ? Is it hard changing IMEI with a datacable ?

how about u ....

try to return the phone to its owner.

did u not make any attempts to return the phone?
it could have been u that lost it?

did u not look through the contacts on the sim card b4 it was locked and call them to see whos phone it was.......

No hope of changing the IMEI unless your VERY skilled............

Indeed I got that person's home number and contacted him; he said that he was far away from where I found the phone and that he had allready got the insurance to block the phone and get a new one.... so he said I could just keep the phone; but i'm sure it will get blacklisted so what can I do ?

Well for a start, changing IMEI numbers is illegal and carries a hefty fine and/or prison sentance if you get caught.

But if you still want to go ahead with it do as earch on google. I remember seeing a tutorial somewhere before when I was looking to unlock my phone.
