Hi

I have upgraded a 6210 that used to live on Cellnet. I've used NKProfile to enable Line2, and I can swop between them and make calls.

All well and good, until I get called on the line that isn't active. i.e. Line1 active, get a call on Line2 - it don't ring, and the caller gets diverted to answerphone.

Incidentally, the Line1 icon doesn't appear, but the Line2 does when active.

Any ideas anyone ?

Clone your Orange 6210 onto the Cellnet 6210 and then change the IMEI of the Cellnet one back to original and perhaps it works then.

Hi Liam

Yer tried that. Made a full backup (I think) using rolis 4.78, and dumped to cellnet phone & changed imei. No joy.

You took 00200000 - 00600000 from the orange and put it on the cellnet one?

Try your orange sim in the cellnet phone with the orange 6210 imei and see if that works, then try with the cellnet original imei.

If it works with orange imei then perhaps they only let it run from the IMEI number the Orange sim is registered to.

Yep, thats the range.

well, all is dandy when i stick the SIM my old old owwwld phone, so I don't think it's the IMEI+SIM mixture.

You have cloned your Orange 6210 onto the O2 6210 yeah?

Both have the same IMEI and settings.
Turn off the Orange 6210 and put the Orange SIM in the O2 6210, does Line2 work now?

If not then its just plain wiered and I have no idea what the problem is.

If it does work, then Line2 incoming calls must go to the registered IMEI number that the Orange 6210 goes to.

Dont forget to put your O2 IMEI back to original

well, I'm now buggered.

I made another backup from 200000-600000 using 4.78b6.
I then flashed the o2 phone, again with 4.78b6.

So, I have 2 phones, that *should* be identical right ?

Put O SIM in the O2 phone. SIM REJECTED. So I used NokTool 1.8 to set the SP locks to default. Turned phone off, then on. SIM ACCEPTED.
The phone then wouldn't find network, so did a manual search, which took *AGES*. Then when I asked it to log onto ORANGE, it came up WITH SIM REJECTED again, and again after turning off.

So used 4.78b6 to unlock via partial flash. SIM ACCEPTED again.
Found network, try to log onto it, and get NO ACCESS.

Updated FAID, then turned the phone off. Back on, still NO ACCESS. I read somewhere that u sometimes need to update FAID a few times. I'm now on number 6 ! Arrrrgggghhhh !

you have a really wiered 6210 then :S i dont know what else to do...

cloning one fone from the other does cause all four locks to close, and opening them with eeprom tools or rolis does the trick.

I did EXACTLY the same process, via a full backup of a mates phone which hadn't been unlocked. It works perfectly !! Which begs the question - wot the hell is wrong with my original O fone ?!?!
