Hi,

If I understood correctly, my 9210i is DCT-3 for unlocking, but DCT-4 for flashing. The *#0000# tells me it's RAE-5...

Can anyone please tell me what DCT means and what it is and does?
In the FAQ I only found a list of which phone is either DCT-3 or -4, but no further explanation.I've understood that the DCT number (version?) is important on how to flash, but is it protocol, hardware related ( or perhaps both:confused: )?

The same question goes RAE.. What does it mean? What is it and what does it do

Thanks and Greetz,

Hi,
I think DCT means Digital Cellular Technologie.

DCT-3 code is not encrypted, (on some dct3s like 6210 the pictures are compressed).

DCT-4 code is crypted (I don't know what enc. and how much bit)

So it's easier to manipulate dct3 flashes.
