MMC 128mb

Hi guys, I need some help or advice please.

I have a Nokia 9210i and purchsed a new 128mb multimedia card. The phone is unable to read it. So, I tried another new card and the same response.
Took the phone to Nokia for a check up and software upgrade. Nothing wrong with phone and it works fine with a Nokia multimedia card. Tried my generic card again....and....no luck!!!

The seller of the cards is also puzzled about this as the other 9210i buyers have no problem!!

Any ideas anyone?????

Does filemanager actually c the card? can u format it inside filemanager?
Do you have a usb mmc reader if so can u format/see it within windows?

What make is the mmc

Hi Sektor,

I am unable to access the card via filemanager either, so therefore i cannot format the card.
And i do not have an MMC reader.

When i do try to access the card, i get an error message saying "card not ready" or "access is denied".

The make: MultiMedia and i have tried PDC card.

I had the exact same problem when i bought an Xtreme 128mb mmc from Digital Media.
In my situation, i went back to the shop and complained about the mmc. then they took one of their laptops and quick formatted it in windows via a memory card reader. it didnt work. then they formatted it normally, it still didnt work. then i told them to give me a card from 'Microsim'. I inserted it and it still didnt read the card, then i opened up file manager on the phone (with the Microsim 128mb mmc inside it) and formatted it. it took me a loooong 15 mins to reach the satisfaction of seeing a 100% formatting and after that it's working fine.

So if you have a Digital media mmc i suggest you to try an mmc from microsim and format it, it should work.

Thanks for all the responses.

I have tried everything....tried formatting (when i did get a chance to access the card)....but still no luck.

The best would be to try other cards as well.

Ones to avoid are PDC and Multi Media .....i have tried both makes of cards without success.
