Sorry, but we tried that and it didn't work either. Is it possible it has a newer chip? Thanks anyway for replying so fast. Unfortunately, my friend tried the 2nd code twice to make sure it wasn't entered incorrectly. So now I guess she has 2 more allowance but I'm wondering if the current DCT4 calc can't unlock it for now.

it doesn't matter what network you would like to use, but which operator locked the phone.

from which operator phone was bought? from IMEI I see, that phone is produced for us market in texas or mexico

so, which us operator lokcked the phone?

if you don't know, please buy serial datacable (no usb) and read out configuration key with bwinlock

DON'T enter any codes until you know correct configuration key

Thanks for the info, gsm community!
While waiting to see if someone knows the solution to unlocking my friend's fone, I did a little researh on this forum and found out one other n3650 locked by Globe Philippines that was successfully unlocked. It had the IMEI's first 8 digits similar to my friend's which is 35110260. The unlock code given to that one had the 2nd, 4th, and 5th digit up by 1. Can someone verify if this the algorythm used in 3650s IMEI starting with 35110260? I appreciate any input anyone may have on this.

I know some USA AT&T 3650 IMEI start with 351102501... Using this Griffin Code for Calulation too.

Thanks for the verification, gsm! The code matches the one I had in mind. We will try that unlock code one last time since it will be my friend's 4th try. If that doesn't work, we'll do as you suggested with a datacable. I appreciate your help!

there is no free datacable solution, you will need griffinbox or bwinlock WITH dongle

please erase all data on phone before trying the last try with *#7370#

The reason why we're trying to unlock the fone with codes is that my friend doesn't have a computer or friends with computer who are nearby that can help. The closest one who is helping is about 7500 miles away (me). With only 2 allowances left, is it unadvisable to input a code on the 4th attempt with data in it? I was just curious to the suggestion to erase the fone's contents first before inputting the code. Thanks!

there is no danger in entering the 4th code with data on the phone, you have to erase the data on the phone before entering the *#7370# code - factory reset code.

--edit--
@gsm community, is the factory reset code resets the 5 tries counter?

i dont think it does
flashing the phone may do it

I have heard or read from some who are claiming to be experts on their field, that to unlock a fone after 5 wrong attempts the fone needs to be returned to a service center to be flashed so that it is unlocked. Is that true? Or can bwinlock w/ dongle solution unlock a fone that had 5 wrong attempts without flashing? Any experience you can share is appreciated. Thanks!

bwinlock with dongle does the job

Thanks to everyone who posted replies to this thread. It is very much appreciated. Now... if we can just get a moderator or a superuser to close this thread . Is closing a thread an option to the one who started it? I don't see a control for it in my window. Thanks again!
