after downloading smart launcher to my 3650 the phone starte giving me system errors, even after restarting the phone the errors would not go.

I then restarted the phone in safe mode (by hold the pencil button on startup) and when I checked manager for installed applications I noticed there was a 4kb file called autoexec daemon istalled on the phone. I had never installed this file myself. after unistalling that file the phone now seems to work fine!?!

Has anyone else also experienced this problem?? any idea why this happened??

why just last night, I noticed that file on my phone too. I didn't install it so I removed it and it said it might affect other programs if removed. So I clicked yes anyway and my phone is fine.

However, my phone did not crash like yours. Mine was working fine and I was removing apps from it last night and I saw the file.

I didn't have any problem with smart launcher either when i first installed it. It worked fine. But when I installed another application later that's when i started having system errors. Unistalling autoexec daemon solved the problem.

isn't it that if you uninstall autoexec daemon, smart launcher won't start automatically when you restart your fone?

yes I think you are right, if you remove autoexec smartlauncher doesnt open at startup, but what could I do.. If wouldn't remove autoexec, my phone wouldnot function.

@ aazain :

Could be that the Autoexec Deamon of Smart Launcher has conflicts with another software you have installed.
For example PhoneSecure also have an own Autoexec Deamon.

That should be the solution.

I have the following software installed, which ones could be conflicting with smart launcher????

1) Photographer
2) Eti Camcorder V1.00
3) Ir Remote V1.01
4) EProfiles V1.8
5) SeleQ
6) Screen Saver
7) Appman
8) Dope Wars

All apps that provide an autoexec routine.
Try to deinstall Screen Saver.
I īve never istalled Appman, so I donīt know if it has an autoexec routine.

tried removing smart launcher and appman and then reinstalling smartlauncher.... still have proble, with autoexec daemon.... it's not appman... it's either photgrapher, eti camcorder, or extended profiles... will check them all when I find some time

eprofiles has autoexec too...

btw... how many times a week do you restart your phone anyway?

I personally install new applications, demo's and games everyday... and delete em... mess around and stuff.

i have to reboot it about once a week... Doesn't bother me too much if i have to manually go to the smartlauncher icon once a week... Don't know about you

yeah it doesnot bother me to manually restart smart launcher, infact that's what I'm doing right now and to be honest it's not causing me any pain.

I just wanted to know if there's a bug in the autoexec daemon and if there was a way to resolve it, that's it!!
