as vodafone uk usually doesn't lock contract phones, are you sure, that phone is locked?

please try orange, t-mobile or o2 simcard first, what does phone say? "sim card not accepted" or does it search for network with the foreign sim?

Further to me putting my Orange Sims into the 3650 , these sims no longer work in my Orange phone ! The 3510 simply starts up, says welcome to orange followed by Keypad Locked then power cycles.

Sim card restriction off with the latest code confirmed by putting an orange sim in the phone. - thanks a lot

The phone is a vodafone supplied one, it has the voda logo on the back and the live button imprinted on the 0 button.

The note about the orange sims that I tried in the 3650 seems to be a red herring. They no longer work in my Orange 3510, but neither does another Orange PAYG sim. it must have been a severe case of coincidence in that the 3510 has knackered up at the same time - it's under contract still anyway so I'll send it back.

Cheers again.
