Hey everyone,

A while ago I asked if anyone knew how to send midlets, ringtones, etc to a friends phone.

Well, I kind of came across the answer. I was thinking initially this could be done with a program from my pc and simply attatch or send the file direction (with my phone connected to my pc) through my phone.

Now, I haven't actually found a program as such, but I came across a document from Nokia called "Getting Started with MMS Tools v1.0". It explains how to code an MMS message, with multiple "slides" that can contain text, images and sound in each slide. I thought you just used your phone for this, but obviously this is generally not for consumers and gives much more functionality.

Then it went on to explain how you can forget all the presentation stuff and just send a ringtone, or multiple formats of the tone so the recipient can choose which is best for their handset. Then I thought, so this should work with midlets to, I did a bit of research on that and it seems I was right about that.

I haven't had the chance to test any of this out yet, but I thought I'd put this here to help anyone else that might be interested.

This might be obvious to some, but no one could answer me before, so I'm assuming most people don't know about this.

All you need to do this is Nokia Developers Suite for MMS - the file's call "NDSforMMSv1[1].0.zip" and is available at the Nokia Developer Forum.
