Nokia 3510i

I am thinknig of swopping my SE T300 pay as you go phone for a 3510i contract phone. Will my pay as you go sim card work in the new phone without me being barred after a few weeks as happened to someone else in my family. I am on orange now and want to put my card into a simless 02 contract phone. Replies aprreciated before tuesday as that is when it is going down.
