SIM not data enabled

I have 2 SIM cards (one o2 and one vodafone) my friend has one (vodafone) and none of them will work properly .....


we cannot conect to WAP
we cannot send or receive MMS

it appears that none of the SIMs is data enabled .....

can this be done in any way without a phone call to the phone company?

or do we have to sit in the queue on the phone for an hour like usual?

Call your operator for this, they will give you the WAP information and MMS settings.

you will probably still have to phone provider to upgrade sim to accept

only takes a few mins

OK, but I think that he should call his operator, the usually send you a service SMS with all the settings.

i am with o2 and you can send yourself a sms from their website with all the settings

its very straight forward

I take it o2 would not let you enable WAP and MMS because you are not the account holder

mine was already enabled because most new phones are

its just if you have an old sim because it wasn't available b4

was wondering if the sim can be unlocked without going through them

The good old days you could not sure if you can now

they share all the info now amongst all the networks


is it asking for a puk code ??


there is a bit on the site for blocked PUK codes but you need to
know the phone number
