nokia n-gage vs. smartphone

i just want to hear your opinions, which one do you think is better
nokia n-gage or smartphone (with microsofts' OS)?

I haven't had (and won't have ever) any of the two, but have read and heared about them.
I am happy with M$ software on my own PC where it strangely behaves well, but alone in my office it doesn't, and on a phone it won't, either. I heared (read) about those "Smart Phones" sold in UK and also here in Thailand, the only "smart" thing is how they hide the real reasons for their hanging, crashing and resetting.
The N-Gage is for my taste too big and the style of the keyboard..... like the 3300 which is cuter but also more like a game boy, well, it (N-Gage) is more a gaming device with build-in phone than a phone with enhanced gaming capabilities.
Yet, it is from Nokia which means good hardware, and based on series-60 OS (Symbian) which guarantees plenty of applications readily available for it, and well tested via 7650 and 3650.
If i were you and had to chose between N-Gage and "Smartphone" i'd go for Nokia.
