Take a look at:

(Look at note2)
You don't need to worry, just type in code 7 with your SIM card out of the phone, it'll unlock fine so long as you've inputed your information correctly :)

okay, thanx but i meant how can anyone know if for eg in france the lock code for a certain network is one and not two? is it always the same???
Why would an operator more use the first than second or other?
Okay, the normal locks in place are:
1) Network Lock (Lock 1)
2) Network Lock + GID1 (Lock 1 + 2)
You wouldn't know what locks are in place unless you took extensive research and/or read in the phone using a cable. But generally the same network will lock the same locks.
Generally networks just lock the phone to their network. But sometimes, they also lock GID1, which means only a certain TYPE of SIM can be used, E.G.
Lock 1 and 2 in place --> you can only use T-Mobile's Pay as you go SIM
A contract SIM would not work in the locked phone even if it was T-Mobile.
Overall then, the locks in place will normally be either (1) or (1 and 2)
Either way, just typing in code 7 will fully unlock the phone, you don't need to worry about what locks are closed.
