there are two types of cable for the 92XX
DLR 2L. This is the standard cable that comes with the commy. You use this cable to connect to the pc and use the data suite. You can backup/restore and install software (amongst other things) with this cable.
F/MBUS. This is a speacial cable that you have to buy seperate from the commy. This lets you do extra things to your commy. For example you can activate netmonitor, use logomanager, view security code, send grpahics and such to the phone.

hm... yes, thanks for the explanation,
9210 is a DCT3 phone, right?
and what's the different between :
FBUS and MBUS?
DCT3and DCT4?
if i want to format my commy and reinstall the whole thing, i just need a DLR-2L cable, right?
right after i format my commy and before i install All_Nokia_Data.sis, what application still exist?
i want to reinstall everything, but i just scared that something might go wrong and screw up my commy ^_^
many-many thanks before,

Mbus is bidirectional communication on the same line, max speed 9600bps.
Fbus is using 2 line RX and TX, and higher speed.
The FBUS cable is faster than MBUS, but it is not compatible with all the programs, such as Wintesla.
Yup, u just need the dlr-2l cable to reinstall the applications after a format.
After a format only the very basic applications exist. i think they are messaging, desk, telephone, calendar, internet, contacts
no office applications
some stuff in the control panel like imaging, install remove, security, certificate manager, regional settings
