View Full Version : Question about the so called "blinking" SMS

Hi everybody I was wondering If anybody has experience sending "blinking" sms.
Thereīs a little prog out there called panuworld, but I couldnīt get it running...

It is supposed to only work with nokia data suite. I tried, but I didnīt get it running.

Does anyone know a different way to send those blinking sms, where certain words of your sms appear "blinking"??!!

Or even better, maybe someone has a simple, different tool??!!

Some pay-for-sms-sites offer this service, so I was wondering, If you could get the whole sh...t even cheaper, and with your own phone... should be possible, hmm??!!

Hey man, I also use FlashMsg program by panuworld but i don't have any problem when i use it. I suggest you to use it by following this steps:
1. Connect Mbus cable to your phone. Usually it is in Com port 1.
2. Install NDS (Nokia Data Suite) Version 2.0 or Version 3.0 ( I use
NDS Version 3.0). Look at which Com port the NDS is installed.
Usually it is installed at Com port 3 or 4 or 5.
3. Run FlashMsg and select the same Com port with where the
NDS is installed.
4. Type your message then click send/save, and then click save.
5. Look for the message on your cell phone in outbox. You'll get
your blinking message.

Use logomanager..
If the "send sms" screen type \0f (I think!) to make the next word blink..

Not too sure cos my phones have never supported blinking (6210 ,7110, 8310, etc)....

hi, what phone are you using? if it is the n3310 (or converted to 3315) you could add that function in the flash file and you would not even bother to use pc software for the blinking messages. you can do it in the phone itself. But for phones 7210, 6210 and the likes, blinking messages is not even viewed properly. This blinking message characteristic takes advantage of the nokia blink bug as explained in panu world.

You can do this...

take the mcu+ppm (original! not your back up)... open it with PPM MANAGER... TOOLS > TEXT CHUNKS >
export as 2 text files... DON'T CLOSE YET PPM MANAGER...

go to where you exported the text chunks... double click xxxx.txt... (see attached file)
just save the txt file...

with PPM MANAGER... TOOLS > TEXT CHUNKS > import from text files...
with the xxxx.txt that you edited...

DON'T FORGET to UPDATE ALL PPM CRCs!

save the flash file...

now flash it!
and do as usual in MBUS... see blink.jpg for detail
