Just upgraded to a P800...

Anyone know of any forum similar to this for the P800? I know theres a Sony Ericsson forum here, but there seems to be very little about the P800 and UIQ related software. Ive always found this place handy for my 7650 though

I've had no problem finding stuff for my 76, but the P800 is proving difficult.

GaZ_D200 the only site i used when i had a p800 was this:

it contains EVERYTHING you will ever need, apps, games (wish there was one like this for 7650!) as for downloads get your hands on MSN for p800 and Escumm (app which allows you to play monkey island on the p800, just amazing!), you will need to register on the forum before you can download anything.

it's very dificult to find p800 video recording . a new video recording for p800
cannot playing sound and only can record for 1 minute, i prefer to wait nokia 6600:D

All I can say is that I had two friends of mine who had a P800 and after seing what my phone could do... Sold thier P800 and bought a 3650... :)

A kept the rest of the money haha... Twe things I did like about the P800 was the stereo sound and surfing the net was faster. But surfing the net on our phone here does cost $$ so it's really useless... just my opinion....

i sold my p800 after owning it for about 3 days and bought a 7650 :D :D

The stereo sound was excellent, touch screen amazing but it was very expensive to run, memory cost ALOT, im left handed and found the jog dial difficult to use, touch screen ment it had to be looked after, games run very poor on the phone as there is no keypad to control them (you have to use the buttons on the side), if you take the tacky plastic keypad off then you cant use the phone with one hand (difficult when driving), the mic was in such a place that u had to hold the button of the phone VERY high, difficult to explain but the mic isnt on the botton of the phone, its at the back where the bottom curves, take a look at a demo phone

Overall it was a nice idea but didnt really work in practice, im quite happy with my 7650 now (and so is my bank account!)

one4u2nb,and what can the 3650 do that is so excelent?I have a 3650 and a 7650 and i preffer the 7650 every time over the 3650.
The p800 has the power,i wish i can afford it,i can afford nokia phones because i get them for free :)

I'll wait for the p810/p900.If the design specs are true,it will be the perfect smartphone for me.

BTW:Driving and using a phone is illegal,that is why they invented BT headsets.

^^^ Well that's one of the things that my 2 friends wanted to have on thier P800. Which during the time they had the P800 they could not find any softwares for it.

Also when they sold the P800 and bought a 3650 with a 128MB MMC, & IR cable they still had extra money left stiill. Oh they also did not like the price of the memory card for the P800 it was kinda expensive so they switch to the 3650...

Oh one more thing that they did like was they can get the softwares for the 3650 from me without even searching for it on the internet. That was one problem they had with the P800

Man I dont want to get into this thing on which is better 3650 or 7650. Cool if you like the 7650 fine with me but I like the 3650 better than a 7650 anyday. But one thing for sure why I think my 3650 is better is b'cuz of the expansion the memory. That's one of the big reasons why I never bought a 7650.

Also in my opinion the 6600 is a great upgrade for 7650 users. Me being a 3650 user I think I will wait for the next phone better than the 6600.

I agree with you when it comes to the 3650,7650 issue,the memory card slot on the 3650 is a winner but then again its a matter of personall prefference.And i agree that the 6600 is a 7650 upgrade but nothing special about it,couple of features here and there.

Like i said,i don't own a p800 but saying that the 3650 is a better choice because of the recorder?The recorder is useless,its just for show,maybe the latest version of ETI(That was published yesterday)with improved qulity and res might be any good but it will also be available for the p800.Yes there is a big price difference between the p800 and the 3650 but also there is a big diffrence in Power and Qaulity between those two devices.The p800 is not just for anyone.It designed for more techy users,where the 3650 primarily is aimed at young people that want to flip it out on a saturday night and show off.

BTW:Once again,i'm no p800 owner,but i'm a member of a p800 warez community like no other Series 60 community i've seen.

Ok I agree with you on that too... But I never did say on any of my post that the 3650 was better than the P800... But in my opinion since I chose a 3650 over a P800 then YES my 3650 is better hehe :) That's all...
