I don't really understand what you mean by:

But now it doesnt detect my Sim Card.
A data cable detects a phone, it doesn't talk to a SIM card, does it?

The cable is from FOX Conn. Any 1 knows it web?
Is it ?

Cheers

Bob

Yes, the data cable detects a phone, it doesn't talk to a SIM card.

I mean i can access the information in my phone (Messages, Phone # that are stored in phone) BUT i cant access any information in my sim (the msgs / Phone # stored in it). Why is that?

ANy reason, why does this happen?

You mean to say, that i should use another sim card? Other network?
Be sure to know that it USED to work.

i used an old sim card that doesnt work any more which will not make calls as its expired but it still lets you into the menu, when i tried my O2 simcard the phone just came up with "insert sim" and then when i put the old sim card in i got into the menu. so i then swapped it back and tried again with the o2 simcard and it let me in but then the signal kept on coming and going flashing on and off like there was a loose connection from the simcard harness on the datacable to the sim card connectors on the phone. my data cable is totoally unofficial and looks poor quality i tired useing it the other day to send a logo to my phone, and the connection to O2 kept on flashing on and off and then suddenly iut said "SIM CARD REGOGNITION FAILURE" i was like shit !! disconnected it and then turned it back on with out the data cable and it was fine, i will be getting rid of the cable i dont trust it any more

it worked fine with the old sim... i could send it to you if you want but i would be trusting you to send it me back but i spose you want to access your sim card...

why do you need to use the data cable ? IR is alot easier and i would much ratehr use it what pluging mad contraptions into my phone!

It may rather sound strange but i am located where i cant get an IR device. I searched the whole damn city. Anyways, thanks for ur kind offer (sending ur sim). I think i have an old sim. I will try that later today and let you know.

Once again thanks for your reply.
