Second question: After flash by this file to 5110 I can't unlock by rolis. I must use partial unlock. Why?????

USE EEPROM TOOLS 3.1 to unlock (using m-bus cable) - dont use rolis.

The difference with these flashes, i think, is that they have the special character in the '*' menu of sms to make the sms blink (flash on and off).

but only 33xx series phones have the ability to send the flashing SMS messages, and they work, to other phones, something about unicode?

so i'm guessing, u wasted your time putting the characters in non-33xx series phones.....

Hi there, I am in need of new flash addresses specially mcu+ppm addresses for flashing brand new nokia models eg. 5210, 5510, 7650, 3350 etc. can anybody send me the links or kindly post it here. The flashing msgs are cool, especially the shortcut where you can manually learn how to change it and not to flash it with a built in full fls. Also, I am searching for a software that can read machine language and convert it to a programming or human readable format, eg. c++, basic, Pascal etc....

u can only send the flashing sms direct (without cables) from nokia 33xx series phones. to send them from a 5110, u have 2 send it from logomanager or similar

On 8210, there is no "character support" menu, where i can select unicode. So what is the point of the line feed and blink symbol if you can't use it in messages?

3)Edit msg and send on other phone

Blinking SMS can be "SENT" by any phone that supports sms!

Blinking SMS however can only be "DISPLAYED" on Nokia.

To test:
Send to 'any' phone and resend it to a Nokia capable of 'displaying' blinking.

Little remark:
I never used any other types as 3210 & 3310.
So I cannot tell which ones can 'display'.

i tried to fix it but i faild so i tried to downgrade the software from 5.06 to 4.50 and i set the network back
then
i download the file created by arab which has flash sms
after i flashed it

all phones receive blinking sms.
but display is different. it works with 51x0/61x0, 3210, 33x0 etc, but not with 6210 i think.. maybe all dct4 are not displaying blink.
sending has to be 8bit/16bit dependin phone. so unicode needed on some phones (just wild guess), but not all nokia's need to have unicode.
blinking sms can be sent with panuworld, i did it when i had 6110.
even if you can't save to sim/phone.

i have used unicode only when sending class 0 sms directly to display. (save template with panuworld to sim, and send your message as email, put your message to email-field and leave normal text empty and send to friends number.) that for all asking panuworld. with 3210 (maybe 33x0) you can't save template, but use friends 51x0/61x0 or other phone to save template to sim.

Panuflash uses the VIRTUAL com port Nokia data suits creates - so if you want to use panuflash you have to install nokia data suite first.

If you want to insert the blinking sms character (or whaterver change to do), you must download your phone's mcu+ppm; not the full flash.
P.S.: I don't remember the hex values for 3330.

Hey Everyone!
I’ve been playing around with these “BLINKING” sms files and have come across one major problem. Every phone I flash can’t get a signal on the network. I have calculated the FAID with several programs and can’t get them working. I’ve tried two 3330’s, two 5110’s and a 3310. I’ve even tried creating my own blinking flash files with flashes I know that work using PPMmanager, but still no joy :(

Can anyone please help and tell me what I might be doing wrong???????

Also I have on my phone another special kind of text message. When u open it reads:-
”IS IT TRUE THAT AFTER U HAV SEX WITH A MONKEY YOUR PHONE LOCKS”
The funny part about it is that your phone locks the up and down arrow keys so u cant see things like the time the message was sent or who sent it and makes it appear that the whole phone is locked.

As well people have been able to flash messages to my phone. This means that the phone displays the text message straight away on the main screen bypassing the option to open it.

Does anyone know how to recreate these effects on the phone and if their are any other kinds of special text messages out their?????

U are right, U not need it.
Use ppm manager on Ur file, then U can use any 'one-button' logger U like.

Quite simple and fully identical to manual Tek/ Koci logging.

Yeah... this can happen. But why should we do this, in order to send unicode msg? Why doesn't the phone itself have an option for unicode char support?

i had flash in the Arab_Nokia created flash file,and calculated the Faid then set the phone message setting to unicode for my 3310 but i did not set unicode in my 8210 with are upgrade to 8250.

i am very happy in that time becuase i though i HAD a 3310 that can send blinking sms but when i send a sms to that 8250 and my freind phone(3310) , the message did NOT blink,i also send message back to my 3310 from my friend phone and from that 8250,the problem still same , the message did not BLINK.

So i hope someone can help me on this because i want to have fun on the Blink SMS.

if u are still haveing trouble getting a network on the phone,

load the flash file up in nokhex 1.04, do caclulate checksomes then flash to phone.

update faid with rolis knok eproom tools anything and it will work at least it has for me every time

When I open my 3310 v5.57 flash file, the line COMM is:

29 COMM .,?!:;-+#*()\x92'"_@&$£%/<>\xBF\xA1\xA7=\xA4\x91\xA5

it's not the same HEX code... And I haven't got 2 empty bits to add "01" and "0A" after...

I was tryied to add "010A" after the line 29 COMM... not work...
I was tryed to change "91A5" to "010A"... not work...

I don't know what can I do.... :confused:

I was tryied to change a line (with "01" at the end") in my french language pack for blinking... but not work...

I was a HEX editor to change values and I use PPMEdit to recalculated MCU+PPM checksums...

In 3310 v5.79 the menu to select Unicode or Gsm Alphabet is gone. Nokia removed it... Don't know why. I think that Nokia removed it after v5.55.

Maybe you could help with a problem on my 8210, its upgraded to 8250 v5.06 and works fine, except when im left an answer phone message, instead of seeing the small tape in the top corner and getting the message that telling me voice mail is there and to listen, i just get a text message with two characters, a _ and an @ or some times there is a triangle, any idea why?
