Nokia Utility 3.2 released...

Ok this is my first software release and i dont know how it'll go but your all welcome to download my

*** FREEWARE *** program "MEGAred Nokia Utility 3.2"

its a neat little proggy - auto search for phone feature via serial data cable - gives info like imei and versions of software and hardware etc

plus a feature im proud of that'll Logoff/shutdown/restart your pc on recieveing of a text message! :-) cool huh!?

All should be simple enough - its a 2.6mb file
(sorry i had to include the vb6 runtime!)

Just click SETUP.exe after unzipping the zip file and all should be great and easy

PLEASE PLEASE give me some info - have you found it useful - is it absolutely rubbish?? etc etc

Those of you whom are worried about viruses etc i give my word its as clean as a whistle friends :)

Yeah Bleedr i know its big (ish) but it has to have the Visual Basic 6 Runtimes which are well over a megabyte and plus if you would download it and take a peek its got a nice GUI that takes up a few kb ;-)

Well I would love to test it but.. the bloody thing won't extract the cab file i have tried winzip,powerarchiver and winrar to do it but nothing works so what the deal bad zip file

also please please upload load to a server that supports resuming i lost the connect about 4 times until it downloaded properly

Just tried as well and received the same message..

Luckily we had downloaded before, but it was at another location that we do NOT have M$ Internet Exploder loaded and your prog would not run? Any clues?? Kept giving file registration problems.
Is there something you used that is part of Iexploder?

Anyway, we were going to try from here where a few computers have Iexploder on them to see if all worked fine. But I guess we will have to copy it to disk and bring it over...

Anyone know how to UPLOAD to the SERVER here and maybe SLIKMIK or we will upload it.

I guess you're missing SMSControl.ocx ...odd since it seemed like it was included.

Try searching your computer (and then the internet) for that file, and copy it to the run directory. :)

My first (crappy) software where i just cheated and used a free OCX thingy in VB6

Worth a look but not that exciting

It just works with the majority of DCT3 phones

I downloaded and installed that program, and i also got the "339" error with that file "SMSControl.ocx".
There is no such file on my computer, and i also did not find it on the net.... could you evtl. post it here..?

about that shutdown-option... could you make program to control windows via sms separate program?
that's what i like.. eg. when thunder coming and i'm far away from home, just to send "shutdown" sms.

i was thinking if i make my pc control coffee maker & stereo, i would like to send sms "coffee & music 15min" and after 15 minutes would coffee be ready and winamp starts playing music just when i come home :)

so what i need is program that read sms, and check if it has defined words (that can be added with gui) and start program that's defined for each words.

for coffee maker, i have source for program that will blink led's connected to lpt-port.. so i could easily make one led as power-switch for coffee maker..

I downloaded the file with VB Runtimes,installed onto computer,but when updates the computer,it has no reaction,and doesn´t finish!

Mmmm dont know what the errors are your getting folks :(

Worked for me MONTHS (prob a year) ago when i was making it but as i said above its not exactly very good, its basic and just based around an ocx

Try using vb6 and just adding the sms control to it and have a play about or search for "active-x" as i posted a FREEWARE active-x for nokia dct3 models a while back thats worth a look

Stopped development on this AGES ago but hey i may start from scratch and make a genuine mbus protocol one if i have time i dunno we'll see :p

I got the same error too.....

I've the SMSControl.ocx in my run dir...

BUT STILL NOT WORKIN!!!!
