Remote Control for TV

hi does anyone know if tv remote control software has been created for the series 40 phones as i see there are plenty for the series 60 ones

any help is greatly appreciated

yes this is something that i am very interested about i have a 7210 so i dont know i that is a series 40 phone but i kno it has everything in it to be a learnin remote control

yep 7210 is series 40 if im not mistaken, the series 60 are 7650/3650 (any others?)

but i havent been able to locate any java based IR software

i think its going to be bad news for us sorry, i think it is only available for series 60 and symbian phones, something to do with the java not beng able to access the ir port, it seems such a waste reallly because everything that is needed is contained in the phone, but even so i think the range would be really crappy(for ir transfer the phones cant be more than 2 feet away from each other anyway)
