NokHex 1.01 Final Beta support:

ALL NEW 3310,3330, 5510 with network ;)
U can edit the newest version and fix the checksum with Nokhex and u'll have network!!!

NokDoc - there is AGAIN not a fix of the second MCU at the ppm area, sorry i will not code this because my programm WILL/SHOULD be used ONLY with LOG calculated logs!


This release is being tested by my Beta Testers, there is still no public release out there!
If you got any ideas, lemme know...
btw 3315 pictures in 3310 are supported....

well download the file NOW AGAIN, if you have donwloaded it before, it's updated because i'Ve uplaoded a crapped version ;)

then start it, it wil lask u for name and key!
send me your dessired name (NokDoc i guess ;)) and the Code that is written there in the box!
Then u'll get a key!

T9 is written in the PPM, Pictures are in MCU an I do the MCU checksumms correction! For PPM u need PPMMAnger, if it can't do it i don'T know! Sorry, my programm isn't supposed to do that!

So really would be interested in seeing if we could work something out thought your source might of been included w/your Beta version...but ill guess we will wait for your release and see if maybe we will get lucky and your new version just happens to read ANY part of the TDMA flash files..

as is already wrote, no need for more beta testers!
also no need for any offsets!

nokhex 1.01 final beta can change MAINLY the menu icons!
other graphics MAY NOT work 100% (this is being tested a bit now)!
btw Signal & Battery do work :)

6210 -> yeas encrypted, old 1.00 beta (no public release) can decode the graphics of the 62xx, but as it wasnt able to edit them so, that the phones works ok, it wasn't added!
(i think 6250 is being still decoded in nokhex 1.xx under correct offsets, but this is a "hidden" future so don't ask about it)!

i've NokHex 1.00 :)
and it's also doing nice job with my 3310 5.55 - after changin graphix and correct mcu chksum, rolis 4.77 says "mcu chk is bad. solve this problem?" and i press ok and flash modifyed mcu+ppm. then update faid with rolis noktool 1.8 and all seems ok :)

After logo editing in NokHex101, tested on 331x-557b:

Don't use mcu correct!

- mcu checksums (nfree1.2).
- Flash checksum (ppm manager)
- flash back to Ur phone.
- Faid update, use any method U like.

I noticed the way of the negative sum of changes, making mcu stay the same.

I admire such ideas, really.
It is the practicle result I have problems with.

I drawn 1 pixel in left top of 1st logo.

EF1B4 : 00 : 01 ,This pixel change was ok.

But this one came after mcu correct:
EF1B4 : 00 : 01 , the pixel changing.
F37B2 : 00 : FF ,?

I don't know why it now messes up my scrolling bar picture at 002F.37B2

My idea about faid:

Faid has always to be recalced if the Flash check is changed.

The Flash Check is calced over 2 bytes per 32, over full mcu&ppm range.

If such a 2/32 byte is changed, the Flash Check always have to be recalced.
Changing only 1 menu logo could have 4 changes on Flash Check calc locations.

If Flash Check is changed, Faid will give incorrect result, leading to no network.

U seem to think otherwise, ok, no problem to me.

But I got my first basic question from a while ago answered.

A lot of guys indeed will be very happy with it, they can use it on those newer versions.

I sure want to thank U for that.

It "fixes" second mcu now too, on every phone, this means u needn't logs anymore.. eepromtools 3.1 will do it too, or noktool ;)

dont know what causes it, might just be my mouse sticking. when drawing /eding pictures, even after releasing either mouse button, the software 'thinks' that the mouse is still pressed, and continues to draw.... to get rid of it i just clicked a few times on both buttons and it was ok again, but it continues to do it.....

Another in the 1.01 beta, when manually inputting the offsets in a 6210 5.56 O flash file, that welshwizard posted, NokHex locked up.

Similar too with 3310 5.03, after some slight editing of the phonebook menu graphic, NokHex didnt respond for some time, like it was in a loop or something.

All in all, everything else I tried doing worked perfectly.

I am using WindowsXP

I would like to see startup animation support too if possible, a reminder that some 3310/3330 have more than one animating startup graphic in the flash, and also battery icons etc like welshwizard posted, for more supported phones.

Also, there is a graphic in a 3210 in the React game, is it possible to edit this too?

I found some of the battery/signal bars too

just put the start offset in so people could use winarm and find the rest (signal, bars) around that area, although signal is b4 the battery.

Hi Mr. BleedR,

I learned two things:

1. Never to doubt myself again.

2. Besides Faid kNok22 can also calc Flash Check correct, will be handy.
Use it on emulation mode if U 'forgot' it before flashing.

if u modifying files with nokhex, then do calculate the checksumm with it too! dont use any other tools or it might not work...
