I tried sending a midi file as a multimedia message but when I try to add the file, it says invalid format. I have also tried using FExplorer. Is there any way I can send a midi ringtone that I have downloaded off the internet and copid to my 3650, to a 3510 so it can use that polyphonic ringtone?

Hi Johnny, yes im curious aswell how to send midi files to a 7210 but. Also how did you get the midi file into the multimedia message????? At the moment i can only get .amr (voice recordered) format as sound files into the multimedia message when i go insert>sound clip and it comes up with a list of voice recordings, not midi files???
cheers

wif the programs in the market now, sorri dudes... cant do that. the fault lies with the series 40 phone. nokia built them in such that they cant accept stuff from other phones include their own kind. its sad, but unless someone can come up wif some idea to do it, we will still be struck like this. as for mms, u also cannot send ringtones that way.

sending midis as MMS throu 7650-3650... is possible with RINGTONE STUDIO but only between symbian phones.sending a midi is quite easy as you will see once u install it.
when u get an MMS containing such a midi just have RINGTONE STUDIO
runing at the backroung and open the MMS and then open the attached midi.u can also save it:)

when i want to send a ringtone i just click on ringtone options and then send. it adds it as a multimedia message automatically then i can either type message or just send straight away.

hehe nar i thinks it because it is a Australian model phone, and nokia doesnt allow to send midi's or any (sound file) except .amr format via MMS phone to phone for some reason (something to do with copyrite over here i think). Ive tryed every single thing on the phone and it just wont do it, theres no option to send sounds. It was the same for my 7210 when i had that aswell, pictures only via mms. hehe duznt matter though, my 3650 and N-gage can send it with ringtone studio and seleq, so its all good.
