Hi, i'm still alittle confused on what cable is able to unlock with software. I have been looking at http://web6.scan.co.uk/Products/Info.asp?WPID=2793
It says it unlocks a Nokia 3210, I have a Nokia 3410....will the cable work? Is it even the right cable? Does any datacable that fits the phone also has the ability to unlock it with software? HELP!

Try to get 3410 data cable and use the nokia tools 1.8 to unlock it
You can CLEARLY read on the product info that the cables work on 61xx/6210/7110/3210, and your phone is 3410. There is NO specific cable labelled with 3410 and you cannot use a 3210 on 3410 because the pin locator and pin location is different (pinouts), instead you can use a 3310 cable for your phone because it has 4 pinouts connecting to the phone, similar with the contacts of the 3410. (If you want, search the WEB for a 3310 cable schematic and design it for you to use it on your 3410)

try to look for the pinouts of your phone and go to the schematics section of the site to build you own data cable or flasher cable. its generic as long as the pins will insert to the right connection of your phone.

Like natnat said build it by yourself...search the general discussion ...there is a tread posted by me /build F/Mbus cable by Yor self/...the only thing that You need after that is the heads for different models..
