Limited SMS Messages on GD87 - Vodafone

I have just discovered that as well as locking my GD87, the Vodafone supplied version of this phone only allows for a total of 15 SMS messages as opposed to the usual 200+.

Does anyone know how to overcome this problem?

Hi,

Yeah my original GD87 on Orange only used to hold about 15 or so which was software version A19 I now have software version A39 with no custom pack and it holds 200+

Flash up to A53 should cure you problem I think unless anyone know any different....???

Panasonic have given me the number at Panasonic where they can upgrade (flash) the phone for about £10. Sounds good - will probably go ahead.

send it to panasonic because if you use a program or ask someone they proberly fuck it up... best to let panasonic fix it for you they professionals and no what they doing.

Panasonics number is 08705 159159 you have to keep trying as they are usually busy... If you phone is under warranty still they will send you a jiffy bag to put it in and send it back to them.. It will be flashed with software version A55 (the latest)
