Rigth I just want to know when you are using ppmedit and want to change a bitmap! how come the program gives a runtime error? Does the bitmap you are changing have to have the same amount of bytes as the one your replacing? Amd once I've changed bitmaps what do I do to correct checksums or whatever just so the flash writes correctly!
Please help as I've tried for hours upon hours!
Thanks a million,
Chris

The program probably gives a runtime error coz you don't have the required .dll. I find the ones available to download from JonJockers site are usually the culprits.
The bitmaps need to be of the same size otherwise the image will not appear properly, these images are easily edited with logomanager( my preferred software)
To correct checksums use Nfree you can correct mcu, eproms and ppm, it's also very easy to use, Once you've flashed it to the phone you will need to correct the faid to get a signal (i use noktool 1.8 by rollis)
gOOD LUCK

You should be using ppmedit 1.0g, when you click on the bitmap button it gives you the x and y values for the bitmap you are looking at
for menu icons 64 x 14
for start up 84 x 48

Hi,
Thanks for the info! But if I want to edit a menu bitmap to be bigger than the x and y value what do I have to do? I've seen this done in smarkies flash and wanted to do the same?
Any help would be great! Thanks very much for your help so far very much appreciated!

hi! try to check if u have space between ur MCU and PPM. thats why the runtime error occurs. its not because of the dll.
hope this helps.
