nokia 3650-> the hard way

Wondering if it's possible to unlock the 3650 with a serial cable and software?

I found the cable here-> http://www.mjimports.com/nokia-data-cable.htm

I am planning on using the "Complete DCT4 Unlocker" package which includes:
starwars.exe and unlocker.exe
Software found here->http://www.freewebs.com/gsmdownloads

1) has anyone done this before?
2) How can unlocking via hardware be done at all?
3) Why would you choose using one of the "unlocking boxes" that are more expensive over using a cable and a software program?
4) Can using software/cable ruin my phone permanently?
5) Should I just send my phone to a "unlocking service" and have them do it? What is the best one? (I am in California and would like to see my phone sometime within the week)

Its not very difficult to unlock via cable
Unlocking with the cable is quit Dangerous if you do not now wat you are doing can damage your fone
and make you waist more money


Check out in the Forum if there aint anyone who has done it before with
the same softwear and can talk you through it step by step

I understand that you can unlock through the phone's software I thought I made mention that my phone has been locked for good through the counter? Well. Still looking for the answer here. Mostly I'm looking for someone who has unlocked a 3650 using a cable and some software. Thanks.
