Hi y`all!

Today i wanted to flash a 8210 v5.21 to a v5.31.

- I made a backup
- Flashed the new MCU and PPM
- Flashed the Eeprom as well (i know, isn't necessary) : (
- Then deleted ....by ACCIDENT the backup file, instead of the v5.31 flash.
- I started the phone and got CS (Contact Service)....now what?!?!?
- Oh yeah....i feel stupid.....real stupid!

flashing eeprom wasn't necessary. that's the one that caused the CS. just enter imei, clear sp locks and update faid. fone is as good as new. 8-)

I would do that to if the phone could connect to the data-cable....

I also tried a full flash erase....without any result.

what do you mean you can't connect to the phone? flashing the eeprom area will cause CS because the imei data is gone. just enter the imei and then follow the usual steps. 8-)

not true as sometimes you can't get the phone to read on m/bus, I have had a few like this and to flx I had to full flash and then do the rest. (in fact I had one last night which I did myself after playing around with it)

I have the same problem as x-factor describes, B-phreaks Eeprom tool wont connect to the 8210 when the "contact service" is displayed!

i have checked the cable, and all the other phones works, so it must be the phone.

is there anyone who got a solution to this problem? or can send me a "good" mcu+pmm file? i have backup of my eeprom :)

Sowwy that i didn't reply earlier, but my computer is hit by lightning....and because of that, my computer is dead :(

Anyways i tried to flash and connect to the phone for several times with the online available PPM en MCU filez....without any result.

Then a friend of mine had a full flash of version 5.29 which i flashed to the phone. The phone booted again and i could connect to the phonen again with the data-cable...and fix if ofcourse :P

Thanks for that kent, i thought it was but wasnt 100%... some people call the mcu and ppm a full flash.

Anyway, does anyone know where i can get a 8850 full flash? Im having some problems upgrading my 8210

wnite.cjb.net does have the 8250 mcu+ppm..?

Have you checked that youre phone is a ROM6 phone? Because a ROM5 8210 phone is impossible to get a working 8250 phone...

my phone is rom 5, thats why im upgrading to a 8850.

Basically i dont really want the 8850 software on the 8210 (they look the same) but i just want to see if i can do it! If i can get this to work i will try on my 6210 and 3310 to see if i can upgrade them as well.

I still need a 8850 full flash :( (0020000 to 0040000)
