Hi New to this forum. I have a 3650 and I want to upgrade my FW. Right now i'm running on 2.54 but it seems buggy. It always freeze and turns off by itself. So first of all, how would i upgrade my FW to atleast 3+ (prefered 3.16). and if so where do i get the program/software (i don't want to send out my phone and wait for like a week to get it back; i would like to do it myself w/ my bluetooth dongle if possible) I've tried and tried to search for the program on the web and the closest i've found was 2.50 which is and older version form what i have. PLease Please tell me how to UPgrade my F/W? PM me for the instructions.

And o yeah i found a F/W thing version 3.16 but its for 7650... would that be compatible with 3650?

either u get it flashed at nokia care, or some fone shop. upgrading it at nokia is free, and takes less than a day.

u haf to buy the flashing tools to do so, and u cant flash ur fone wif 7650 firmware. mind u, the tools can cost quite a lot.

I think u need a griffin box for dc4 fones but tis expensive.

Go to service center and get it done (might cost might not), buy DCT-4 flasher (cheapest is around £180) or send to some one who can do. (just upgrade mine to 3.16 and it runs sweet)

My wifey just got a new Nokia 3650 (I think it's the best Nokia out in the market, if not, the best phone!), and she has a Firmware of 3.16. Thing is, she also has had problems of screen hangups, and the phone restarting by itself.

I have a Firmware of 2.50, and I don't think there's any big problems about it. :-P

This is so true. I have seen many 2.54 stable as a rock whereas soooo many of them have been buggy. :-?

My last fone was a 2.54 and buggy as hell. Finally it managed to go bad beyond repair. Now this 1 is also 2.54 but much more stable except for it doesnt handle bluetooth too well. Same usual reported problems like rebooting, freezing, etc.

Is it da hardware? Maybe some fones r bad quality??

Guy's i have this problem i live in manila and my sister gave me a 3650 vodafone live handset from the uk. And i think this phones firmware is customized by vodafone because theres lot of vodafone stuff that i cant delete like the stuff in the favourites folder and the services folder. And when i format the phone it all the vodafone icons and settings comes back. So i would like to ask if i have the firmware upraded to the latest release will all this vodafone shit go away? all i want is a normal 3650 without those vodafone live stuff. thanks!

my fone is ver 2.5, the fone is fine, until one fine day, the vibration stopped working! anyone experienced this too? gonna bring it down to nokia care for servicing soon, damn...

Yeah thats the same with my phone if i choose a large .wav file for the ringtone, and someone calls me the phone wont vibrate and it plays that original nokia tune. Theres nothing wrong with the vibrate function bcoz it works for message alert ringtones. I think the large .wav file confuses the phone.

no no, mine doesnt vibrate at alll!!! well, i juz went to nokia, after 2 hrs, my prob is solved, but they upgrade the firmware and formatted my fone! damn..... gotta send my midis and contacts back in again.......

You have the power to make me a very happy guy by just giving me instructions on how to upgrade my firmware on my N3650.

i have a griffin box and software along with my cable. unfornately after installing the version 4.13 file i can't tell which files i should use for the options "MCU" "PPM" "CP" "ADSP".

So please i'm begging you for some help, my local service center can't upgrade my N3650 and I can't mail it overseas because there's a good chance I might never get it back.

So please please help me out here. i have searched high and low to get some instructions and all my efforts are futile. Right now my N3650 shows "system error" if i try to access the "Profiles Option" and it doesn't ring aloud nor vibrates so i need to find a way to upgrade it! :( :(
