are you sure that phone is locked? did you try another simcard? usually vodafone doesn't lock contract phones

please post product code from label under battery (begins with 05XXXXX or 06XXXXX) and DON'T enter any code until I told you from what operator your phone is

gsm, are you able to tell from the product code the operator that supplied the phone? If so, is this information available on the net, or is it an internal (ie Nokia) thing?
