Hie there, i've download some of my songs from my Received Ringtones space with GNOKII.

But i'm having trouble of converting it into *.re, *.rttl or some other format that are suitable for PPM MAnager or PPM Fix.

For your information, my downloaded song is in *.bin.

So is there anyway that i can convert it? Or is there any way that i can add it to my phone ( after 1-35 original songs and b4 those empty space?)

Please Advice

Dear welshwizard,

well, i've been trying to add those *.bin files into my flash with PPM Manager but somethings goes wrong. All other ringtones in my flash are disapear including the one i add in after flashing it to my phone.

When i use PPM Fix to add in those *.bin to my flash. Error occurs too!

I've done checksum, but there are still something wrong going on!

Is there any other software that are capable to do this?
Or Can GNOKII do it? If yes , please advice!

HELPPPppPPPppp!

Mr. Victor.

U cannot insert eeprom tones directly to ppm tone.
And I don't know conversion tool.

Mr. WelshWizard,

Please look before U leap.

if u r using ppmmanager 0.91 you can add single tones.

with 0.90, you can only add full tone "chunks" - so if u just select 1 file it will remove the rest of the original tones.

i have not had experience with ppm fix, sorry.

but then again i have no experience with gnokii eithr.

sorry.

mr nok doc

i am just trying to help, i know u probably have more experience than me, and you can tell me to leap if u want.

i have successfully added extra ringtones in bin/re to my 3310 using ppm manager and ringtone manager. so just thought it would b the same.

To WelshWizard.

You said that

i have successfully added extra ringtones in bin/re to my 3310 using ppm manager and ringtone manager. so just thought it would b the same.

How to get the *.bin file? Is it using the mygynoki.?
And how you put the *.bin to the PPM area?

Thanks in advance!

Use the MyGnokii version of Gnokii, and the output will be RTTL.

You can then convert these to .re as normal :)

but if you have a highspec data phone, the files you read a Re files and the rttl 2 re then can add the TONE ID Number and then you can add into the flash as normal :D

Like I said...

depends on what phone you got connected depends on what you can download

3310 and 3330 and 5510 seems to get RTTL for me and 6130/6210/7110 all get binary

Well, if the mygnokii download in *.bin format, can we still have the choice of converting it into *.re format?

Or can it still can be converted to *.rttl format?

Please advice

the .bin output ringtone is an RE ringtone without a tone ID, so use the "rttl to re" program welshwizard supplied to correct the Tone ID.

I do not currently know a way to get them back into RTTL

Hi,

>> 3310 and 3330 and 5510 seems to get RTTL for me and 6130/6210/7110 all get binary.

This is new to me since I only can read from 3310.
Could someone send me such a gNokii output for 6x/7x types please?

Is the gNokii output same like mbus getbintone command?

I use the GUI version of Gnokki...

for 6210/7110

set the com port settings in the settings, then save and close the program, re-open it to get it to connect, go to ringtone and then click the get from phone button then it opens the list in the eeprom and then a message box saying binary and then a save dialogue

for 3310/3330

set the com port settings in the settings, then save and close the program, re-open it to get it to connect, go to ringtone and then click the get from phone button then it opens the list in the eeprom and then a message box saying RTTL and then a save dialogue
