View Full Version : trouble synchronising contacts

I needed to transfer my contacts from 9210 to 3650 so i synchronised my 9210 with outlook using its pc suite. Then I synchronised outlook with 3650 using the pc suite for 3650.

Although i get all the contacts listed in my phonebook on 3650, the problem is that there are multiple entries on my 3650 for some contacts who had several phone numbers. For e.g. if Tom had three contact numbers in outlook... then on my 3650 the sync created 3 entries for tom (Tom(1)..... Tom(3)) each having one phone number!!

How can I sync outlook with 3650 to avoid this error?? would using something like oxygen phone manager or smart vcards help???

Are u sure u mapped fields from da csv or source correctly during import?

How do I map the fields?? I don't think there was an option to map the fields when i synchronised outlook with 3650 and 9210

comma seperated values. Its a basically a text file.

The mapping is done when u import a csv file into outlook, it will ask which fields to map to the fields in Outlook.

name to name
address to address

so on n so forth.

got a good link to download opm 2 from?? thanks also for your help so far.will opm 2 work with 9210?? because i need to trasfer contacts from 9210 to 3650

OPM 2 is only for symbian....is 9210 symbian?

For transferring contacts from 1 phone to da other, I think pcsuite has this feature but Im not sure.

Eitherways u cud always load the contacts from 1 phone and then take an export into csv file. CSV is supported by almost all phone managers.

I finally found the solution in Smart Vcards. This app is available for both 9210 and 3650.

1) I loaded Smart Vcards (trial version) into 9210 and exported all the contacts to vcards.

2) I then transferred the generated vcard file (I think with .vcf extention and 64kb size for 400 contacts) to 3650 via infrared.

3) Loaded smartvcards (cracked version) into 3650 and imported contacts from the .vcf file

4) viola! all contacts trasferred from 9210 into 3650 with all details intact and in the right places!! great app this!

Heellllllllllllllllllooo, gretings from Portugal. Can anyone tell me where to find Smartvcard 1.01 crack for nokia 9210 ??? Help please, and thanks. Itīs a great program to backup the the contacts list.
